Just A Boy

I am very fortunate to be involved in many diverse projects. When I met Richard McCann, the “BOY” in the title, I became instantly interested. It is the true, ultimately uplifting and inspiring, story of a five-year-old boy who woke-up and discovered his mother had gone.

The film depicts how the murder of one woman can ruin an entire family and trigger decades of drink, drugs, and deprivation. Despite Richard being beaten and abused for years, being thrown-out of the army, ‘going off the rails’ with drugs and being imprisoned, he retained his humanity. Somehow, he decided life did not need to continue that way.

Richard’s story is one of redemption and personal triumph. It shows us all how, with the will and determination, you can and you will overcome. How could I resist writing and producing this film?
